Fist of the North Star (Movie)

|| Fist of the North Star case ||Now, I know what you're all thinking. "Sharkey, how could you give this awesome piece of anime only a B-?" Well, let me introduce the story to the newcomers and we'll get back to that. The story takes place on Earth, years after it has been devastated by nuclear war. Society has broken down into a system where only the strong survive. Into this desolate world comes Kenshiro, master of the Hokuto Shinken style of martial arts. This style destroys the body from within by striking at one of the numerous acupuncture points (note: exploding people). Kenshiro is a wanderer on a quest to find his lost love Yuria, who was lost in a battle with his nemesis, Shin. During his wanderings, Kenshiro defends the victims of 'the strong' for he is pledged by his art to defend the weak.

Now, back to that B rating. I must admit that this is one of the coolest animes that I own, because the flick is action-packed. The fight scenes are amazing, truly epic battles. But the movie is quite lacking in the animation department. The story leaves much to be desired as well. It was based off of the manga "Hokuto no Ken", and only scratches the surface of the actual story.

If you love action-packed anime, this one's for you. If you're into the more classy, intellectual animes, stay clear of this one.
