Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust -- NHDJ1 @ 8:13 am

I can vaguely remember seeing the first one and thinking to myself...wow, this looked a lot cooler on the front of the box. But fear not. Bloodlust is a U.S./Japanese co-production and was directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri ("Wicked City", "Ninja Scroll"). If you've seen either one of those excellent movies, you know that there is some swank ass whoopin' goin on in this flick. I was very pleased with the characters, satisfied with the plot, and the art was excellent. If you dig on some Yoshiaki K. and an all around good zombie/demon/vampire bash fest, then this is at least worth a rental.

New Reviews, Harry Potter, and The New Guy -- Orion @ 10:51 pm
I bet dup3d00d helped Hogwart'sAlright, as promised, I updated the reviews. Granted, I'll be behind again when stuff comes out tomorrow and I haven't put anything up...

I wanted to say that if you missed The New Guy, you should either go see it if it's still playing, or definitely rent it when it hits dvd/vhs. That movie was some funny. If you know who Tony Hawk is (what console gamer doesn't?) then it's worth watching just for his scenes in it.

Another thing I wanted to mention was that I was watching Harry Potter And the Philo- er... Sorcerer's Stone again and I really liked the film. Part Two is supposed to finish filming next month for a November release. Anyway, while watching it, I was asked the question, "I wonder where they got all those letters?" (from the beginning when the owls deliver hundreds) and just then did I figure it out. "They duped them. I'm sure of it."

Kiss Vin Deisel's Career Goodbye -- Sharkey @ 5:51 pm
Jesus, as if XXX wasn't bad enough for the poor summumabitch. Now he'll be in Crap, episodes 2, 3, and 4.

Studio Signs On Three Pitch Black Sequels

The original film elevated Vin Diesel toward superstardom, and he is poised to return as Riddick, whose cat-like ability to see in the dark helped him lead a group of survivors off a sun-less world in "Pitch Black."

"We think of 'Pitch Black' like 'Mad Max' was to 'Road Warrior,' or 'The Hobbit' was to 'Lord Of The Rings.' They were places to find one of your characters, enabling you to take them to different places in subsequent films."

Wow. That's not how I think of Pitch Black. My thinking requires jabbing pencils into my ears hard enough to break through the canal and stab my brain so that no thoughts of that pile of shit can enter my conscious mind. But then, maybe I'm not their target audience. Perhaps the mentally retarded have become a bigger demographic since Glitter hit the big screen.

Goonies 2! -- Sharkey @ 9:30 am
Spielberg confirms Goonies II is in pre-pre-production (Hollywood speak for "maybe")

Sorry about the AICN link, but sacrifices must be made. I've gotta run, so you can make up your own hilarious commentary on this one. Try using finger puppets, and if you have the means, uppers.

Black Hawk Down -- Orion @ 10:31 am
I watched Black Hawk Down last weekend and I thought it was truly amazing. I highly recommend it. I was going to post a full review, but since FaaQ actually served in Somalia, I was hoping he'd go watch it and post a review. Regardless, I really liked it, and liked it enough to go buy the book and put it in the "to be read" queue. If he doesn't post anything on it in the next week I'll post a larger review.

Natalie Portman In Leon 2? -- Sharkey @ 3:28 pm
Hey Natalie, is that a 9mm in your pocket or are you just... well, I'd hope that's a 9mm in your pocket.Apparently there is a lot of talk circulating in Hollywood that Luc Besson and Natalie Portman will be teaming up once again to produce a sequel to Leon: The Professional. I don't rightly know if the first flick even needs a sequel, but if it stars Natalie holding guns in sexually suggestive positions, I'm all for it.

Apparently Besson is all over this sequel, but only if Ms. Portman decides to reprise her role as Matilda, who would reportedly be an assassin years later.

I'm sorry, but the thought of Natalie Portman with a gun and a short skirt makes my pants tight.

I guess that was more information than you needed, but you can deal with it.

I saw all of these movies with the exception of The One. Sorry Jet Li, but if I wanted to see crap, I'd go balls-to-the-wall and see Jeepers Creepers. Oh wait, I did do that. Somebody kill me.

Episode II Trailer Synopsis? -- Sharkey @ 12:00 pm
WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD! SPOILERS AHEAD!

So what are you waiting for? Click the link. C'mon you pansy, I dare you to click that fucking link.

What are you afraid of? Are you afraid that it will ruin the trailer and/or the movie for you? Well let me ruin the movie for you right now: There's clones, lightsabres, a love story, and it's gonna suck. It's really gonna suck. And I don't mean wet-blowjobs-from-fat-DSL kinda suck. I mean Hoover kinda suck. And not the wet-n-dry vac either, I mean the kind with pointy bristles at the end, that would most likely scratch up your knob and not have the decency to swallow. That's how harshly this film will suck.

Now you should feel confident enough to click the link. Pussy.
